Ottawa Senators - Ice and Dice Gala Fundraiser
DMC Ottawa produced a second annual Ice and Dice event for over 640 of Ottawa's key decision-makers and top corporate leaders, the main challenge being to outdo the success of the Casino Royale fundraising gala the Company arranged for the Ottawa Senators Foundation the previous year, also at the 5-Star Hilton Lac Leamy in Gatineau.
A reception was developed around a "Viva Las Vegas" theme with a Starlight Lounge complete with strolling Elvis and Cher impersonators, costumed Vegas Showgirls and Ottawa Senators hockey stars acting as croupiers. When not trying their luck at the tables, guests sampled special martinis from an ice bar and checked out Silent Auction items along a replica Vegas strip.
Later, an exquisite gourmet culinary experience unfolded in the "Ceasar's Palace" ballroom of the hotel, with excitement, extravagance and entertainment accentuated with Senators hockey players seated with top corporate sponsors at each table.
Invisible screens with sponsor logos were flown from the ceiling, allowing an unobstructed view of the magnificent performance of Juno award-winner Liberty Starr on stage. Lucky guests were awarded raffle prizes that included Men's and Ladies' Rolex watches.
